First, the part that surprises people: drivers do not need an invite to be scored. Anyone who races your league's slot is in the standings automatically. Invites exist to grant roles: staff who help run the league, and members who want to belong to it on the site.
The four roles
| Role | What it grants |
|---|---|
| Viewer | Belongs to the league; no management access |
| Steward | Manage access: works the review queue, enters adjustments |
| Admin | Everything stewards do, plus scoring, settings, members, Discord and the race slot |
| Owner | Everything, plus billing. The account that created the league; never transferable by invite |
Creating an invite
In Manage → Members, create an invite and choose:
- Role: viewer, steward or admin (owner can never be granted by invite).
- Expiry: optional; the link stops working after it.
- Max uses: optional; for one-per-person links set it to 1.
You get a link like yourleague.irstats.com/join/<code>. Share it in
your Discord or forum. Whoever opens it signs in with iRacing (their
identity is verified, not typed) and joins with that role.
Managing invites and members
- Invites can be revoked at any time; outstanding links die immediately.
- Every redemption is written to the league audit log with who joined and through which invite.
- The Members page lists everyone with a role; admins can change roles or remove members there.
Common setups
- Just me: run everything as owner; invite nobody. Drivers still appear in standings by racing.
- Race control: invite two or three trusted members as stewards so the review queue and penalties never wait for you.
- Co-organizer: an admin invite; they can do everything except billing.
Team seasons
For seasons with team championships, invites get people
in the door and the signup page handles rosters: members create or
join teams at yourleague.irstats.com/signup, or staff assign
rosters, whichever mode the season uses.
